APS Energy Services Company, Inc
., is planning on closing down one of its cogeneration plants and selling all the plant assets during the first quarter of 2008.
The plant’s prime mover is a Solar Turbine Centaur 50, 4.6 MW Combustion Turbine gen-set. It has 14,500 operating hours, and its generator is grid connected at 12,470 volts and 60 Hz. The turbine, purchased new from Solar, was placed into service in October 2005. The turbine is currently operating in a combined heat and power (CHP or cogeneration) plant located in Martell, CA, and its operation can be viewed upon a scheduled site visit.
Our target price is $1.2 million for the Centaur-50 unit, including its SoLoNox emission control system.
The turbine comes with a complete manufacturer's warranty. The turbine is in an enclosure, skid mounted, and inside a building, and it is in excellent condition. We've maintained a full service agreement with Solar Turbines since start-up, and they have meticulously maintained and inspected the unit, and have all the records.
We are also selling the remaining plant assets, including a Rentech Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) which was also newly installed in October 2005 with the turbine. Using the turbine exhaust, the HRSG provides 25,000 pph of 135 psi steam (40,000 pph when duct fired). The plant is fired with natural gas.
We can arrange for delivery and re-commissioning at your site, or you may pick up the equipment.
