Here we have a great condition Heathkit IO-4550 10MHz Dual-Trace Oscilloscope. This was my first real scope after the hand-me-down Eico I first used (boy did I hate that one!). Haven't used it in a long time though so it's just taking up space (but not collecting dust as it's been covered!). Since I haven't used it in a long time, I gave it a check out and it seems to be fine. Cosmetically there's nothing to note. Operationally it seems fine. You can see in one the pics it displaying a couple of waveforms (that was hard to do with the flash, let me tell you! - I know, I know, dumb to use the flash, but with the camera I have, that's the only option). The only thing I want to point out about this is that these scopes are known for troubles with the HV circuit. I know I had to replace a few parts on it. It is working though as can be seen. This is true of this model in general, it is not a flaw in mine. You may think it dumb of me to tell you this, but I have no desire to pull one over on you. That said, I know I've seen it discussed on the web (there was no web the last time I was using it!) and I think I've seen various upgrades too. The original manual and booklets are included, as shown. Ah, almost forgot but was reminded by the pictures. At one time I modified the unit to have an external blanking input. The circuit has been removed (some time in the past) but the BNC connector I added remains on the back panel. Plus the circuit I used is hand-drawn on the schematic, as seen in the pics above. Personal checks are accepted but will be held until they clear.
