There are some broken plastic wheels on the rollers that will need to be replaced. I believe the rollers were extended. This unit is setup for Forward and Back Operation. These MAGTAC users have witnessed (though comparative testing) increased productivity and substantially higher product yields. Higher yields mean increased bottom line profits...and that's certainly nothing to curse at. Western Magnum Corporation, an industry leading manufacturer of highly dependable PCB equipment for more than 25 years, has designed and built the MAGTAC Substrate Cleaner to include: * 27 Inch Wide Adhesive Rolls * Straight Thru or Forward/Back Motion * Static Elimination Processes * Sustained 24 Hours a Day Operation The MAGTAC SC-24 was built to substantially improve PCB lamination quality by removing dust, hair, fibers and other micro-contaminating particles from both sides of substrate and phototool/artwork surfaces. MAGTAC Substrate Cleaners use a tacky roller to adhesive roller transfer process to remove dust, hairs, fibers, and other micro-contaminant particles from both sides of substrate or film surfaces. Additionally, substrates are anti-static neutralized to inhibit attraction of unwanted particulates after cleaning. The forward/back models SC-24FB operate in one of three switch activated modes. Mode 1 operates the cleaner by passing the substrate forward and automatically returning it back to the starting position, being cleaned twice over its entire surface. Mode 2 operates as described in Mode 1 with rollers opening and closing at specific times to prevent contact with the leading edge. This feature is specifically desiged for substrates having dry film on their surfaces, allowing the film leading edge to pass through the rollers before they close to prevent removal of the coversheet. The substrate is cleaned one time over half its surface and twice over the middle section. Mode 3 operates the cleaner as a straight through unit. MAGTAC Substrate Cleaners use two sets of contaminant collecting rollers and two 27-inch long (SC-24) adhesive rolls within the system. One circumference of the adhesive roll is trimmed off when excessive buildup of particulate matter is prevalent. In "on-demand" mode, both the collecting and adhesive rolls separate automatically when the cleaner is not in use.
