PGA-1500 Electric Grid Array Pin Straightener PGA-1500 Grid Array Straightener Pin Grid Array straightener combs up to 23 x 23 pin devices without a tooling change The major features of this versatile system include: Easy-to-use electrically powered portable, bench top system - Quickly straightens up to 23 x 23 pin arrays - Changeover accomplished in seconds with simple knob and dial adjustments - Pin-to-pin accuracy of 0.005 inches (maximum deviation from "true" position) - Pins are combed, ensuring that severely bent leads are properly located in the fixture - Electrostatically grounded throughout The PGA-1500 can be used to properly straighten virtually every commonly used PGA with up to a 23 x 23 pin array. And since no die changes are required, and set-up time is minimal, PGAs can be processed interchangeably and in random sequence. Operation is quick, precise and simple, merely requiring the operator to set a maximum of 4 adjustments. Step 1 - The PGA is placed into a "sizing fixture" where knob adjustments are made for device width and lead length.Step 2 - The PGA device is then placed into a "straightening fixture" where it is automatically combed.Step 3 - The PGA is retracted, rotated 90 degrees and then reinserted into the fixture for a second pass through the automatically activated combing pins.
