This machine, manufactured by Trojan Tool Manufacturing and modeled on the Trojan Colt, operates with DC battery power. The use of a DC motor means that you will receive more usable torque than a comparable Alternating Current (AC) powered machine. In looking at this machine, we had two Drain Cleaning Professionals with over 20 years of experience between them test the machine, and they were amazed by its ability to generate torque, handle the job, and perform reliably. While there are a lot of battery powered hand tools available today, we were initially concerned about whether a battery powered drain cleaning machine could do the job.
