Whenever normal AC power fails, the internal solid state transfer switch automatically connects internal battery to LED lamps inside the exit sign to keep it continuously lit for a minimum of 90 minutes. At the same time, back-up battery power is also supplied to the lamp heads, lighting a path of egress for no less than 90 minutes.
