HP 8116A Service and Operating Manual in PDF on CD ->10 Megabyte ZIPPED Page Samples<-(RIGHT-click and "save target as") (No need to "email for samples," so no need to worry about getting sold to a SPAM list!) (Please read FAQ or "About Me" Page) This PDF manual covers operations, maintenance and servicing of the Hewlett Packard Model 8116A Pulse/Function Generator. It is scanned from the original manufacturer's manual. The scans came out well, and all information available in the original manual is available here. This PDF document was created in our own shop from an original in our posession, so if there should be any errors, we can correct them! This is only one of the many desirable differences between our products, which are our own creations, and the internet-obtained material being distributed by "marketers" and "leeches". The high res PDF was scanned to the following specs: Text with photos at 600 dpi grayscale Please note that you will see those same specs claimed "elsewhere" for many manuals for similar models, in PDF sizes typically FOUR MEGABYTES per 50 to 150 pages that include photos and drawings. Folks, just how ridiculous can "marketers" be and still keep getting away with it? Please be assured that our distributions are actually done at the stated resolutions, we're not just writing whatever we figure we can get away with that makes us look good. For your convenience, we include two resolutions of the manual. The smaller standard res PDF (20 megabytes), is intended for research and general use. It has bookmarks, has both sequential and chapter-page numbering, and is text-searchable. The second version included is the high res PDF described above, 322 MB, which has all the navigational attributes of the standard res except that instead of text searchability it's hyperlinked. We send both versions on the CD. Most of the foldout pages in the original were 34 x 22", which are ridiculous when scanned "full size" as nothing can be made out on the screen at all, so we elected to scan the foldouts in this one in 8.5" x 11" sheets, which are far easier to deal with. You'll note some "marketers" making statements to the effect that they scanned such sheets "FULL SIZE 17x11", which is just "marketing" use of the buzz term "full size" because 17x11" is not "FULL SIZE" for anything other than a 17x11" sheet.
