The full Model number is 03.00 CDXPSRC 8.000 . As listed above it has a 3" Bore with an 8" Stroke length. The construction of this cylinder shows quality and durability all around. The end caps are of heavy all aluminum construction. The cylinder tube is high grade 316 Stainless Steel. This cylinder has many nice features including adjustable "cushions" to prevent hard bottoming at the end of the extend or retract stroke. A precision ground steel shaft with very durable chrome alloy plating. This shaft is 3/4" diameter, with 5/8" fine threads on the end. The cylinder also incorporates "universal mounting" for a wide variety of applications. The end caps on the front and rear have 1 1/2" threaded stubs for end mounting. The rear stub also is crossdrilled and has an oilite bronze bushing inserted for end pivot applications. The bushing has an inside diameter of 1/2". The air actuation ports are 3/8" female NPT. The maximum operating pressure of this cylinder is 250 PSI, and does not require any lubrication. With the size of this cylinder, and the many ways it can be mounted, it is a very good candidate for many applications for a hobbyist, mechanic, or just a do-it-yourselfer with ideas for making "gizmos", including a "super" can crusher, a lift, or some other type of actuator. For your convenience, a table of the developed force based on the input air pressure is as follows: 50 PSI - 353 lbs. (extend) and 331 lbs. (retract) 100 PSI - 707 lbs. (extend) and 663 lbs. (retract) 150 PSI - 1060 lbs. (extend) and 994 lbs. (retract) 200 PSI - 1413 lbs (extend) and 1325 lbs.
