PDF: Highly searchable rendering of pages. Excellent fidelity to original formatting, however text appears as it does in the manual which makes it subject to the condition of the original and the quality of the scan. RTF: File format common to most word processing programs, however, OCR rendering and your specific program or font selection may create slight variations in the way the document paginates. Text portions are generally graphically clearer, since they are reproduced from the original, but will probably not appear exactly as they do in the original document.
