The E-Z Cutting Guide is designed to be used with a straight edge or pattern in the following manner: The clamp is attached directly to the tip of the torch. 90 degrees to the direction of the cut. It can be used on either side depending on whether the operator is right or left handed. Make sure that the clamp in against the nut and tighten in place with the thumb screw. The guide is adjusted for height and locked with the wing nut. It should be aligned in the same plane as the tip. To use the GUIDE for bevel cuts, turn the clamp on the tip so it’s on the front or facing forward. Then by rotating the guide to either side any angle can be cut. The shoe of the guide rests on top of the straight edge or pattern with the guide pin next to the edge. The tapped hole in the clamp is off center for better clamping of small tips. Two sleeves are provided to accommodate different torches and tip sizes. Almost any straight bar can be used as a straight edge. One should knock off any burrs with a file. A wipe of soapstone on the area that the guide shoe rides on will let it slide smoother.
