HIGH TECH Engineering Based Wafer Chips on a Membrane To be a bit more descriptive, this is a disk with a stretched plastic membrane like skin containing etched Colorful Gallium or Germanium (Rare Metal) Based chips which eventually get microscopically soldered to form a "chip". Looks like this is the "dna cell" so to speak of what we see as a CPU eventually. A Cool and interesting find, perhaps you Chip Guys will find it valuable. Comes in its own "CD-Like" case.
