Two motorola HT1250 uhf 2 way radio dtmf full keypad

What do you have for sale (write here): Two motorola HT1250 uhf 2 way radio dtmf full keypad
These are the version with the full dtmf keypads. I've also researched 'em a bit and found the following posted in a review that may be of some interest:
Again, the above was taken from a user's review on a ham radio site.
I also found this on another sie:
"the only way to make to get MDC1200 to work on a conventional channel is to add an aftermarket MDC1200 encoder to the radio."
As for what's currently programmed on the radios (that I'm selling here), I really can't tell you as I have absolutely no experience in this sort of thing. If you tell me exactly how to check something on the radios though, I'd be happy to do it for you. Again, if you want to know whether or not something is programmed on either radio, you'll have to tell me how to check or otherwise I won't be able to help you.
What I do know. The buttons respond when I push on them (ie. they make a 'tone' noise). Both of the lcd displays and keypads light up as they should. These radios also appear to be matched to each other and that is why I am selling them together. There are only two channels that show up on the lcd display. Channel one and channel two. If you turn the knob to anything other then channel 2, the lcd will display ch. 1. When either radio is in channel two, it will send out a signal to the other radio. If BOTH radios are in ch. 2, you can talk to each other (Me and a buddy tested them over several city blocks and we could still hear and talk to each other). In channel one, neither radio will receive a signal from the other one. Perhaps ch. 1 was programmed to the station (base)? That's just a wild guess though. Anyway, if one radio is in ch. 1 and the other is in ch. 2, the one in ch. 2 will send out a signal to the other radio but you won't be able to talk back. The little orange button on top seems to be programmed to control the illumination. When you press it, everything lights up. When you press it again, it all turns off. The button directly above the 'push to talk' button seems to be programmed to 'monitor' mode. If you press it in for a second then release it, the radio will be in 'monitor' mode. It will stay in 'monitor' mode until you press the button again. The button directly below the 'push to talk' button seems to be programmed to 'phone call' mode. It only works when you are NOT on ch. 1 though. If you press it when you are on ch. 2, nothing happens. Press it when you are in ch. 1 though and the little 'phone' symbol shows up on the display (and you are able to dial a number).
After finding a downloadable copy of the owner's manual online, I was able to figure out how to get into the menu. Here is what responded when I selected it. The 'Audio/Tones' and 'Utilities' settings. These just basically allow you to change settings on the radio like tones, displays, squelch, etc. The 'Phone' settings. The radio simply goes into dialing mode when you select that. I can get into 'program lists' but not everything in there is accessible. The only things that respond in that menu are the 'phone list' (lets you add an entry) and the 'radiocall list'. When I get into the 'radiocall list', 'edit entry' comes up on the display. If I press that, there are 3 things that you can select. 1.) 'MDC CALL 01', 2.) 'DTMF CALL 1', and 3.) 'QC CALL 1'. Selecting any one of those appears to allow you to change the ch. on that feature? I was scared that I'd screw something up if I edited any of that so I didn't go any further. That, friends, was the extent of my testing. Again, I have absolutely no experience with these and went by the manual that I found online.
