Here we have, not only a rare book on insulation written by a manager and engineers from Westinghouse Electric Corporation, but also this book was from a Bell Telephone Laboratories Library! B.T.L. Technical Information Library is stamped to the top and bottom page edges, and the card pocket says Bell Telephone Libraries. The card pocket also has due dates stamped on it, ranging from 1971 through 1988.
In the Basic Insulating Materials section, types and applications of Asbestos are described, including: Chrysotile Asbestos, Amphibole Asbestos, Crocidolite Asbestos.
In the Insulating Compounds, Plastics, and Solvents chapter, asbestos fibers is listed as filler for resins used in plastic molding.
In other chapters, Asbestos is listed for conductor insulation, also Asbestos tapes are listed as a binder tape, asbestos is mentioned as a standard form of wire covering.
