This is one big, stiff and heavy unit. We have made nearly a thousand English Wheels over the last several years and this is our heaviest duty frame! 2 3/8, 3,4,6,8,12" radius and flat anvils are included along with our proven quick release mechanism. All seven anvils and the 3 x 8" top wheel are heat treated 4140 @ 28-33 Rockwell C. Plenty hard enough for anything you roll over. Anything harder is a waste of money. There is 39 inches from the front of the back frame member to the center of the wheel so you could roll the center of a 78 inch piece. The Anvil and top wheel are rotatable 90 degrees. Floor to anvil top is 56 inches, a nice height to eye-ball your work as you go. Overall height is 71 1/2". It weighs 450 pounds with everything included. It is made w/ 4 x 4" 1/4 wall tubing, 3 x 3" 1/4" wall tubing for the reinforcers and 2 x 4" x1/4" for gussets. The bottom plates are 1/2" thick 8" wide and the front pad is 36" long. It has 1/2" holes in the base plates for bolting to the floor and it most certainly should be bolted down. Our standard anvil rack is included. (this posting is the responsibility of the poster) |
