Plans.Build Hydraulic Post Driver Tamper Machine.Farm. Here is an excellent plan for a hydraulic post driver and dirt tamper.Built from salvaged materials the machine is very simple and effective. Most of the construction is welded rather than bolted so as to achieve rigidity.Any farm or home workshop can build this machine easily.Welding skills are necessary but this part of the job can be done at reasonable cost by your local welding shop if you do not have welding equipment. Steel angle and pipe are the major basic materials and are easily obtainable everywhere.A pair of used car or truck wheels are used to build the trailer mount. This machine pulls and replaces fence posts and with a pad on the bottom of the ram can be used as an efficient tamper to tamp loose earth or gravel before pouring concrete floors etc.A really useful and versatile machine.
