PIC Microcontroller Development Station Click to view supersized image This is the BB-18 PIC Development Board. This is a new, completely reusable hardware and software development station for 18-pin PIC microcontrollers. It is an ideal platform for doing rapid hardware and software development. To make development easier it features a solderless breadboard for circuit construction and inline sockets for access to PIC port signals and onboard I/O. This board features innovations that set it apart from other development boards: innovations like a solderless breadboard for test circuit construction, an 18-pin ZIF socket for the PIC, and socketed oscillator parts for supporting all PIC oscillator configurations (a 4 MHz ceramic resonator comes with this unit). Additionally, all microcontroller and I/O signals are available on 2 sockets which will accept standard wire jumpers used for breadboard prototyping making new designs simple to setup and test. For I/O, it has 4 buttons, 4 LEDs, a buzzer, an RS232 interface, and a socket for and LCD. This board even allows you to modify the PIC oscillator circuit on the fly through the use of socketed components and shorting jumpers. In short, you can configure and use this board to test your designs without ever reaching for a soldering iron. The manual is located at . Sold as an assembled and tested unit.
