This Punch and Base was manufactured by Hollingsworth Mfg. to meet GSA Specs. They have an associated NSN number to match the product. Pictured is the 17-1 model. Visit our Store for various others. Punch and Bases are used to apply a Brass Grommet to various materials...they are for industrial portable applications but can also be used in consumer every-day applications. We currently offer two styles of Punch and Base. The 17 Series are for Spur Washers with Rolled Rim Grommets. The 16 Series are for Eyelet Grommets with Plain Washers. These are used to apply a Grommet to various materials...they are machined industrial Steel Forgings with a minimum RC Hardness and are for both Industrial and Consumer Portable Applications.
